Annie founded Lux Studio, a full service lighting design consultancy, in 2024.

She is passionate about using light and shadow to enliven the built environment and comes to lighting design from a background of art and interior design.

Her career in lighting has included work at small, boutique lighting studios, a manufacturer’s representative, a Fortune 500 energy services company, and several MEP engineering firms. This breadth of experience allows Annie to combine creativity, excellent communication skills, and a realistic understanding of how lighting design projects come together in a wholistic manner.

A former mentor once told Annie that she had a “gift for context” - the ability to see how the small details on each project fit into its overall big idea and vision. That gift has become a passion; Annie enjoys how the small, diligent, daily design tasks can really make a difference in the larger project overall.

For Annie, collaboration and communication is central; she loves the interplay of ideas and solutions that result when the client, consultants, design team, and contractor work together to share knowledge and ideas.
